Vegetables, herbs, spices, and moreThe vegetable wash or vegetable delivery is an excellent way to serve up a hearty veggie dish without adding a lot of ingredients.
To do this, simply wash the vegetable with a vegetable oil or vinegar, add a few leaves of the herb you want to spice up, and then serve it over a bed of rice.
Here’s how to do it.
Wash your veggies.1.
Place the vegetables in a saucepan with enough water to cover them.
If you’re using the vegetable wash method, you can do this in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Heat for 5-7 minutes, or until the veggies are softened.2.
Drain and rinse the veggies.3.
Put the veggies back into a sauce pan over medium-high heat.
Once hot, add the rest of the ingredients.4.
Add the vegetables to the saucepan and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
(Tip: To help keep the vegetables from burning, sprinkle the veggies with olive oil and sprinkle them with salt.
Then, when you’re ready to serve, add more olive oil to the pan.)5.
Remove from the heat and serve with rice.
(The dish is best served warm.)
This recipe is vegan and gluten-free.
It makes enough for 4-6 servings, or a full-size loaf of bread.
If serving over rice, the rice will need to be warmed before serving.
