How to make vegetable steamed rice and stew from scratch
Vegetable steamed and steamed vegetables, such as green beans and cauliflower, are typically made by boiling them in water and adding herbs, spices, and other seasonings.
This method can make a great meal.
But if you can’t find the herbs, you can substitute chicken or fish, which can be made in a similar way.
Here’s how to make vegetables steamed in the comfort of your own home.1.
Make a stockpot: In a large stockpot, place a medium pot of water and a few large spoons of salt.
Add enough stock to fill the pot to about half the size of a large soup pot.
Add the vegetables and a bit of water.
Cook until they’re tender.
Add water and continue to cook until they’ve become tender.
If they’re too hard to handle, add a little more stock.
Remove the vegetables from the pot, drain, and set aside to cool.2.
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables: Wash, slice, and dice the vegetables.
(Note: If you’re not going to cook the vegetables, you might as well not bother.)
Add the vegetable steaming water to the pot and add the onions and garlic.
Cook, stirring often, until onions are tender.
(The vegetables are ready when the water boils and the onions begin to brown.)
Add a little water to thicken the broth, and add some broth to the water.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.3.
Garnish with mint: Sprinkle a handful of fresh mint leaves on the vegetables in the steamed broth.
Then sprinkle a bit more of the broth over the top.
Serve warm or cold.
