What’s next for the Leafs?
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a hockey team that was very successful.
That team is the New York Islanders.
They were a franchise that dominated the league for the better part of a decade, and they’ve been one of the most dominant franchises in the NHL for the last decade or so.
And when the Islanders have won, they’ve won by a lot.
They’ve been to the Stanley Cup Finals three times.
They’ve made it to the conference finals twice, once for the first time since 1997.
They’re currently sitting on a .500 record, with an 82-game winning streak in hand, and have been playing in front of a massive home crowd every night for the past two years.
And yet, while the Islanders are the hottest team in the league right now, they are one of two teams in the League that hasn’t won a playoff series in over a decade.
In other words, the Islanders aren’t the hottest thing in the world right now.
But that’s not to say the Islanders haven’t made the playoffs in the past.
The Islanders have been there a few times.
For one, they haven’t won in the last six years.
They have missed the playoffs the past six years and haven’t been to back-to-back postseasons since 2009.
But it’s also important to remember that there’s still one team that has a lot of talent in their lineup, that team is arguably the best team in all of the League.
And while they’re not the hottest, the Isles are the team that makes the playoffs.
It all comes down to what the Islanders do in the playoffs, which is something that has to come with some degree of experience.
The Islanders had a bit of a breakout year in 2016-17, but then fell off the map the following year, as the team had a great start to the season before losing two key players, captain John Tavares and center John Tavaras.
The team also had a bad stretch in 2017-18, where it went 1-9-2, and had some of its best seasons to date in 2018-19, but also some of the worst seasons of the franchise.
That’s why it’s important to keep an eye on what the team does in the postseason.
Is it a big hit-and-run in the first round, or a comeback that comes down the stretch?
Is it the team coming off an elimination game in the conference final?
Is it the Islanders getting a bit unlucky with their back-breaking injuries?
Is the team finally healthy and playing at a high level?
It’s a balancing act, but that’s what happens when you have a young, up-and -coming team that is also very talented.
It also helps to have a solid goaltender.
When it comes to the Islanders, they don’t have a good one at the moment.
It’s not a bad situation.
The only other team that would be considered a playoff team that had a solid goalie is the Montreal Canadiens, and that team has been to four Stanley Cup Finals in the seven seasons since the franchise moved from Quebec City to Montreal.
Islanders fans should be excited about this team.
They are going to be one of those teams that are in the mix for the playoffs this year.
But there are also teams in other leagues that are already playing in the postseeding round and that are definitely a team to watch out for.
The Los Angeles Kings, for example, have the potential to be an elite team if they can stay healthy.
They’ve won three straight Cups, including the 2017 Stanley Cup final.
And they’re one of only three teams that have won the Presidents’ Trophy twice in their entire history.
So what do the Islanders need to do in order to stay in contention?
In order to have success in the playoff race, the team needs to win more than two games in their own series, which means that they need to be playing a lot better than they are right now if they’re going to get in the running.
The best way to do that is by being better in their final five games.
The way the Islanders currently play, they’re averaging just over two goals per game in those final five minutes.
That’s not good enough to be in the race for the second wild card spot.
The team has played a lot worse this season, but if the team were to average the same amount of goals per night, they’d be in a position to be a legitimate threat.
And if the Islanders were to continue to play better than their current levels, they would be in good position to make it to either the second round or the Conference Final.
What does this mean for the Islanders?
The Islanders are going into the 2018-2019 season with a chance to make a lot more noise than they have thus far.
They’re not going to make the playoffs right away, and there are
